Lori Hunt

Executive Director

As your new Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, I cannot possibly express my excitement that I am able to serve the community in this role. Although I am new to this community, having moved to Coldwater two-years ago from my hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, I will work diligently with the members, ambassadors, board, and all involved, to continue growing the Coldwater Chamber as the foremost resource and support hub for consumers and those providing goods and services alike. My passion for serving people began with mission work through Youth for Christ in Oakland, California, followed by summer mission service in Africa, Haiti and Budapest. Once I decided to start a family, I knew raising my children near their grandparents in Fort Wayne, was important.

This led to the start of my career with Parkview Health Systems, holding various roles within the Marketing Department, with my last role serving as a strategic Planner for the Samaritan Flight Team and Parkview Level 11 Trauma Center. Most of my career was spent providing marketing, public relations and strategic planning for Parkview. Additionally, my past ventures include sales and running my own business, Marketing Solutions, in which I grew social media accounts for small businesses. Because serving the people of my community— and worldwide— is my passion, I am most proud of launching Parkview Trauma Centers “Don’t Text & Drive” educational program in 2009. As the Prevention Coordinator, I set my sights first on educating the people of Fort Wayne and surrounding communities. This vital campaign, however, reached 193 countries after being unveiled at the May 17, 2013 World Summit on the Information Society Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. It was subsequently utilized as a catalyst for a broader global road-safety campaign via the United Nations International Telecommunications Union. I was blessed to be given the opportunity to travel to Switzerland and serve as an information source for the campaign. The campaign expanded further after it partnered with the McMillen Center for Health Education, providing 45-minute live “Don’t Text & Drive” teleconferences that can be scheduled for classrooms across the world. Another passion of mine is social media and expanding its usefulness for small businesses and consumers. I hope you can help me with this process by visiting the Chamber’s social media pages — Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn — sharing its content and spreading the word to others. I am always available to assist in any way that I can so never hesitate to contact me with your ideas, feedback and suggestions.
